ArcSpan Sourcing is an independent sourcing partner for modular and portable building comparisons. It does not claim authorized dealer status.

ArcSpan Sourcing Keeps the Buyer Desk Independent

ArcSpan Sourcing coordinates questions for companies that want factory quotations on modular buildings, portable units, and related steel systems. The role is an independent sourcing partner. The desk does not claim authorized dealer status, does not own a fabrication line, and does not publish another company's projects as its own. A brand name in a search stays a reference the buyer may be comparing, not an identity this site inherits.

Checkpoints inside one sourcing request

The sequence below is the path of a brief. It is not a company chronology and it does not assign a founding year, a headcount, or a plant capacity. The written method on this page was set out on 29 October 2026 so buyers can see the order of questions.

01

Capture the reference without adopting it

The buyer may name the product family they have been researching. The desk records that name as a comparison reference. It does not rewrite the request as an order for that brand, and it does not treat a logo search as proof of supply.

02

Lock measurable building inputs

Occupancy, module dimensions, eave height, wind speed, ground snow load, and seismic design category are copied as the buyer states them. Unknowns stay unknown. A missing jurisdiction is left blank rather than filled with a national assumption.

03

Force scope labels onto every number

Suppliers are asked to tag shell, delivered, installed, or turnkey, and to list freight, foundation interface, and installation apart from the building package. A figure without a label is sent back as incomplete.

04

Hand the matrix back to the project team

Drawings, calculations, and any offered ISO 9001, IAS AC472, AISC 360, or AWS D1.1 document are attached to the supplier who offered them. The buyer and the licensed reviewers decide what is acceptable. The desk does not award the job and does not seal the design.

Boundaries the desk will not cross

No plant claim

Welding, coating, and module assembly remain at whatever plant a supplier names later. This page does not describe a factory the desk operates.

No stock list

Catalog names are inquiry options. A card does not mean a module is sitting in a yard or reserved for the destination.

No code ruling

IBC, IRC, and HUD Code are different regimes. The address and the authority having jurisdiction decide the path.

No mixed totals

A chassis price and a set-and-connected price stay in separate columns even when both suppliers use the word modular.

No borrowed metrics

Customer counts, warranty years, and delivery statements published by other companies stay with those companies.

No silent preference

High-end, mid-range, budget, or undecided is recorded as the buyer's preference, never as a verified supplier grade.

Two method tensions stay visible so the desk does not flatten them. Volumetric modules reduce site labor and tighten transport and lifting. Panelized assemblies can ship in a smaller envelope and then ask more of the site crew and the weather window. A repeatable standard layout is easier to compare when the site fits the published box. A custom engineered span is the rational path when clear span, crane, or local load does not fit that box. Neither side is dismissed here. The brief has to pick.

Three limits follow every file: compliance is undecided until the jurisdiction is known, price is undecided until like-for-like scope is labeled, and availability is undecided until the named supplier confirms the destination and the date. Those limits are the honest status of an inquiry, including one opened from Building Options.

Start from the six-field index

Use, dimensions, loads, jurisdiction, quantity, and destination are enough to open a factory question. Optional budget and supplier preference can ride along. They do not replace the engineering inputs.
